The Opportunity

Our Client, an experienced multifamily investor whose bank recently pulled out of the market, needed to refinance a loan quickly or face default. Without adequate time to fully underwrite a traditional loan, banks were not an option, and the Sponsor turned to Axcel for execution.

Axcel's Solution

Recognizing the financial strength of the asset, and relying on the Sponsor's significant management experience, Axcel quickly underwrote and positioned the financing for a bridge loan. We then sourced qualified lending sources and negotiated the best structure and terms. With a one-year bridge loan the Sponsor was able to repay the maturing loan and avoid default. With some breathing room to adequately underwrite a new loan, we are able to assist the Sponsor with sourcing permanent capital.
